Tonight we were having dinner at my parents’ house. I was excited because my Auntie Ava was in town and I hadn’t seen her in a while. She said she had a surprise and I couldn’t wait. Growing up, I wanted to be like her because she was fly as hell. Not that my mom wasn’t but mom was more reserved and calm, being the wife of Harlem Williams. Now Auntie Ava was a Boss Bitch and she knew she was the shit. I definitely couldn’t wait to see her.

“Babe, can you grab the diaper bag?” I called up the stairs to Devin. A few minutes later he came down the stairs.

“I got it ma,” he replied. I smiled at his fine ass. The boys and I had been staying at Devin’s house for the past month. I still had my apartment but Devin wanted us right here with him so that’s where we had been. Things between us were getting much better.

“Alright let’s go,” I said as I leaned up and kissed him.

When we got to my parents’ house my Uncle Tez and Aunt Yvette were there. Mom told me that Auntie Ava was on her way, as well as Auntie Ryan and Uncle King.

“Hey Devin, how are you sweetie?” my mom asked as she took Devin Jr. from his seat.

“I’m good ma.” I thought it was cute how Devin claimed my parents; even when we were broken up, he was hanging with my dad.

“That’s good. The men are downstairs,” she told him and he handed me Kevin and went to join my dad and uncles.

“Is Martez and Harlem J coming ma?”

“Martez and Maddie have plans but Harlem J said he was stopping by.”

“Oh ok. What did you cook?” before she could respond the doorbell rang.

“I got it ma,” I told her as I sat Kevin back in his seat. I opened the door to see my Auntie standing there looking like a diva.

“Hey Auntie!” I hugged her. It had been too long.

“Hey niece. Look at you.” I let go of her and stepped to the side so that she could come in. I was so busy hugging her that I never noticed the person standing behind her.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” I glared at Chyna. The bitch smirked.

“Wait Harley, this is my surprise. This is my daughter Chyna.” I could have dropped dead right then and there.

“Well no disrespect Auntie, but she gotta go,” I said staring the bitch down. It took everything in me not to beat her ass right then.

“What’s going on out here?” my mom said walking up to the door.

“Nothing ma.” I walked away. This shit couldn’t be happening right now.
